What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Everest EB-5 Capital LLC?

Responsibilities:

1. Record and maintain financial transactions in appropriate ledgers, journals, and software systems.

2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

3. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

4. Prepare and issue invoices to clients/customers and follow up on outstanding payments.

5. Maintain and update general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries and adjusting entries as needed.

6. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

7. Manage payroll activities, including calculation of employee wages, tax deductions, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

8. Monitor and track expenses, prepare expense reports, and assist in budgeting processes.

9. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to provide necessary financial information during audits.

10. Stay updated with accounting principles, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial records.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.

· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

· Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

· Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and vendors.

· Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards in accounting.

Education:

· A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) can be advantageous.
