Director of Income Tax Provision

Title: Director of Income Tax Provision Company: Everest Global Services, Inc. Job Category: Finance Job Description: Everest Global Services, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking a Director of Income Tax Provision to reside in their headquarters in Warren, New Jersey. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prepare the quarterly and annual worldwide U.S. GAAP income tax provision and separate individual U.S. Statutory income tax provisions timely and accurately in accordance with ASC 740/SSAP 101. Prepare the GAAP and U.S. Statutory income tax footnotes and all required disclosures. Prepare the income tax provision workpapers of all entities and build all necessary workpapers to support and reconcile all opening deferred tax and income tax payable balances. Prepare tax account general ledger analysis, including current/deferred tax expense, income tax recoverables/payables, FIN 48/ASC 740 Assist in managing and controlling the SOX and MAR processes, including signoffs by all relevant parties, and create audit ready documentation. Assist in developing departmental policies, procedures, and processes to minimize global corporate income tax provision risks. Research tax issues effectively in all areas of tax law, insurance operations, global economics, and tax accounting. Work Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; CPA preferred or Master of Taxation degree a plus. Minimum of 5-7 years of insurance related income tax experience with at least 2 years in public accounting. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of insurance industry income tax provisions. Demonstrate the ability to document issues, tax positions, and GAAP to tax treatment of income and expenses effectively. Willingness to participate in multiple areas of tax, including foreign country tax regimes. Proven experience utilizing standard business (MS Office), tax (research and compliance) and accounting software applications. Experience with One Source Income Tax Returns is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
