This is a hybrid position based in either our New York, NY or Warren, NJ office working 3 days onsite, 2 remote. In this role you will: Analyze global reinsurance portfolio, synthesize findings, and provide actionable insights about underwriting issues and opportunities Support senior management to formulate underwriting strategies, track progress, and evaluate impact Lead or co-lead development of senior management reporting to help steering underwriting actions. It will include collaboration with actuarial and underwriting to learn about the business, with data & analytics to source and analyze data, and with business leads to prototype, and socialize to get buy-in Maintain high-quality management reporting, and will be able to consistently improve process and quality of reporting Provide your expertise in casualty business, and continue learning about new business segments Become the go-to person for business leaders on long-tail portfolio level data and analytics Qualifications: Bachelor required, Master of Science is preferred in quantitative area Minimum 7 years of experience of reinsurance pricing, underwriting and/or portfolio analytics. ACAS/FCAS/CFA or other quantitative credentials are preferred Coding and programming experience - SQL required, also good to have R or Python Be able to tell a business story using advanced PC skills (Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint are required, and Power BI is preferred). Experience in developing executive and profit center level reports with succinct narratives Possess excellent analytical and presentation skills with an ability to quickly analyze and interpret data Proactive and independent thinker with strong attention to details. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with direct exposure to senior management, so being responsive is the key Communicate clearly and effectively in all mediums, and operate effectively in a culture that promotes collaboration, execution, humility, thoughtfulness, and leadership For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000 annually.
