Position: Power BI Developer

Position Type: Contract

Position Duration: Long term

Location: Remote (Occasional travel)

We are seeking a Power BI Developer with experience in data profiling and business analysis. The best candidate is someone who not only can architect the backend data structures of Power BI but also can design themes, colors, and metrics that are visually appealing.

Some travel to the client site in the central time zone (Nebraska). This position is a long-term contract.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to work with business users and management to understand the business need for data, profiling, exploration and reporting.
  • Experience working with: RDBMS, ETL and reporting tools.
  • Experience with BI visualization tools, preferably MS Power BI.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and experience in creating data warehouse schemas with Kimball methodology.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and version/source control disciplines
  • Understanding in working in an Agile Project Development team.
  • Must be able to define functional and technical docs based on data availability, quality and profiling on source data systems.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Understand complex logic and solve data issues by coming up with sound technical solutions.
  • Experience creating Power BI reports from Snowflake data warehouse data.
  • Minimum three (5) years' experience writing SQL.
