Job Description The UW Services team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Underwriting Services Manager to join our team in either the Warren, Hartford, Houston, Chicago or Orange Offices. This leadership role will be responsible for Risk Management National Accounts UW Support team that provides support to the Risk Management National Accounts Underwriting segment across multiple US locations. The priorities of the role are to drive process improvements, with emphasis on identification of processes and delivery on opportunities to leverage offshore team and ensure readiness for Workflow tool delivery with a hire date in: April and May Responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead a team of a Underwriting Assistants that support the Risk Management National Accounts portfolio, both internally and externally to upload Everest Insurance service standards and client experience. Drive team performance: coach employees, support their development and effectively manage under performance. Create and promote a collaborative and transparent team culture, that includes responsibility to recruit talent and successfully onboard new team members. Drive a feedback culture by holding regular 1on1s with team members, providing both positive and constructive feedback on performance in order to identify growth opportunities. Manage and drive day-to-day operation that supports the Policy life cycle, including but not limited to: Submission & Clearance, Policy Issuance and Endorsements. Oversee BPO relationship for the portfolio, including to ensure they meet all operational SLAs and address any issues that may arise timely and effectively. Model Process Improvement Mindset by proactively identifying opportunities for change, enabling a culture for new ideas and failing fast, while ensuring sufficient project management and oversight to measure deliverables and progress. Support and contribute to strategic projects and initiatives by contributing SME knowledge, offering Project Management support and bringing in other team members, where relevant, to contribute based on their know-how and growth goals. Ensure training materials and process workflow guides are developed and maintained to uphold and deliver the quality-of-service Everest promises. Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships across Operations, to ensure open and transparent communication across the division and proactive problem solving when challenges arise. Qualifications, Education & Experience: Minimum 2 years in a people leader role. Minimum 5 years (re)insurance experience, directly supporting the Policy Life Cycle with demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end value chain highly preferred High proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel (PIVOT Tables), Word, PowerPoint). Project Management experience preferred. Prior experience in Financial Institutions, Private Company, Executive Solutions, Private Equity of business is a plus. University degree or equivalent business experience required. Action oriented & demonstrated sense of urgency to execute. For California Only: The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually.
