Job Summary/Basic Function:
Provide instructional and technical support for all programs in the Advanced Manufacturing Training and Education Center (AMTEC). Under supervision of the dean, support advanced manufacturing and aerospace related functions in lab and classroom settings.
- Prepare laboratory/practical materials for technical programs
- Be available to students and instructors for laboratory/practical class activities; prepares demonstrations as requested by instructors
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance for AMTEC equipment; reports and addresses maintenance and repair needs within 3 work days
- Assist with creating and maintaining lab environments and work stations; ensures environments promote student and personnel access, belonging and equity
- May direct the work of Instructional and Classroom Support Technicians 1 and hourly staff
- Monitors laboratories to ensure compliance with safety policy; assists in the development of safe laboratory procedures
- Catalogues equipment and supplies and assists in inventory; calculates quantity and quality needed, and completes orders; maintains adequate stock levels
- Maintain the tool rooms, including tool inventory, check out, and return procedures
- Perform other duties as required in keeping with scope of description
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certificate or higher level of training in advanced manufacturing
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing concepts
- Ability to work as part of team
- Computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Journey Level Certification
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- Experience with maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and supplies
- Forklift certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MasterCAM and CATIA software

Salary: $44,400 to $59,616 plus benefits
