FINANCIAL ANALYST
District and Department Overview
The Everett Public Schools Finance Office provides fiscal and strategic support for the development, implementation and oversight of the district’s $120M budget, supporting the ambitious educational mission of the Everett Public Schools with finite financial resources with fiscal integrity and compliance to all State and Federal laws.
General Position Description
Working closely with school principals, head teachers, department heads, other municipal departments and senior leadership, this position will provide targeted support for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the district's budget and external funding.
The Financial Analyst will play a central role in the overall management of a multitude of grant programs, individuals, and activities to enable the highest level of efficiency, transparency, and fiscal integrity for the Finance Office. Using sound judgement and taking initiative, this position will take a prominent role in the development of the annual fiscal budget, monthly financial reporting, procurement of all district needs while also building and streamlining processes, communicating key information, and ensuring fiscal compliance for all programs. This is a position for an accomplished organizer who is committed to public education as well as to developing and implementing management and administrative systems needed to run an effective organization.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; is an innovative problem-solver, the ultimate project manager and should be a self-starter who is able to manage a project from development through completion; have excellent judgment; and have the ability to manage a fast-paced and multi-faceted workload with keen attention to detail.

WORKING TIME:
Full time; steady with peak periods, working outside traditional working hours including nights and weekends.
SALARY:
Compensation is commensurate with experience and education. This role is an exempt, full time 12 months salaried position.
