Role Overview: The Network Engineer, will play a pivotal role ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s internal data communications systems by planning and designing network solutions, troubleshooting issues, training junior staff, and conducting network reviews. Your responsibilities span a wide range of network tasks, from implementing projects and mentoring team members to creative problem solving and decision-making. The Network Engineer will drive strategic outcomes, foster innovation and relationships, and influence results as the backbone of the communication infrastructure.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$97,646.64-156,000.00 USD
The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages. Our talent acquisition team will provide specific information regarding bonus eligibility and benefits offerings.

Responsibilities
- Meticulously plan and design network solutions that connect various platforms and protocols, including IP and VOIP, augmented by world-class Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Review, audit, design, implement, and maintain all network systems.
- Actively participate in project deployments, ensuring seamless transitions
- Ensure the security and compliance of all IT systems, implementing robust measures to safeguard data and networks.
- Ensure protocols are in place for business continuity, to minimize disruptions during emergencies, and prevent data loss incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address network needs.
- Manage Ring Central VoIP call software for office and remote users endpoints.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption to enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Foster new ideas and explore innovative methods.
- Convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in a manner that is easily understood, authoritative, and actionable.
- Provide training and guidance to team members.
- Effectively architect network solutions within a diverse technical group consisting of Everfox internal teams, system integrators, and contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level IT infrastructure role, preferably within the high-tech and/or government industry.
- Experience with NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance requirements
- Experience delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
- Experience working with Managed Services Providers (MSPs)
- Understand various types of firewalls (network, host-based, web application, and cloud firewalls). Be proficient in selecting, monitoring, and patching firewalls.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with languages like Go, Python, C , Ruby, and Perl for custom scripts, database integration, and network virtualization.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
- A relevant certification (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, CCAr, ITIL) required.
