Job Description

We’re seeking the right person to join our engineering team to provide technical support in the documentation of our premium offshore fishing boats. Are you ready to help refine product designs and achieve results in a team environment?


Competencies 

  • Capture, document, and create all work instructions for new and existing models
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams to create build instructions and documentation
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
  • Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing
  • Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts
  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness
  • Assists other team members on complex tasks
  • Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Industrial Engineering or      related field preferred
  • 1-2 Years marine experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in      Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • 1-2 Years CAD experience, Rhino preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience
  • Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and can select tooling and machining resources
  • Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dusts masks and respirators.

· Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.

· The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
