Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Tech to join our team. You will report directly to the Corporate Fleet Maintenance Manager. As the Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of various equipment and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the reliability and longevity of waste management equipment.

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance.

- Monitor and manage departmental budget and expenses.

- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.

- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor. Waste Management experience is a plus.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

- Proficient in reading technical manuals and blueprints.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
