What we need (in addition to all that stuff above)

We are seeking a Junior Loan Processor to assist with order-out FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional loans and assist our processing team. Some mortgage experience is required. A strong problem solving and organization skill set with an emphasis on customer service is a MUST! This is a great position if you have the desire to learn loan processing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Request and obtain all required order-out items as requested by the processor.

• Assist in gathering and clearing UW conditions and meeting loan deadline dates
• Assist with daily problem-solving and trouble-shooting.
• Keep current on FHA/VA/USDA and Conventional loan programs and changes

• Provide any back-up processing as necessary or needed.

Standards of Performance: 

• Support Evergreen Home Loans mission of delivering on time and as promised.
• Order all required documentation, such as appraisal, title, escrow, verification of employment/income, asset verification, credit, insurance binders, etc.

• Maintain and apply up to date technical knowledge of software and changes within the industry and loan guidelines.
• Adhere to all industry compliance requirements and regulations

• Tracks receipt of order out items and follow up to ensure loan will close within allowed timeframes.
• Assess income, credit and asset documents against guidelines to ensure feasible submissions to underwriting; effectively articulate calculations and any impact/concerns. Communicate all changes in file status to Loan Officer and Loan Processor
• Proactively communicate and set expectations about what the process will or may potentially involve, including turnaround times for receipt of documents and impact of delays if applicable.

Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:

• Good character, motivated, hard working. 
• Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.
• Good communication skills.  Neat, clean, healthy work habits.
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Be proactive communicator/problem solver
• 0-1 or more years of experience in mortgage processing or mortgage business in similar area
• Very detailed from start to finish of file involvement that leads to successfully insured loans purchased by our investors.  Minimal error/default ratio.
• Support/Team attitude with Managers and all associates
• Written procedures for position are kept up-to-date.
• Has effectively cross-trained at least one other associate to fill in during absences.
• Provides the same high level of customer service to internal customers (example: coworkers) as to external customers (example: borrowers).
• Must pass in-house Mortgage test with 70% or better

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment. 
• Must be able to walk/ sit for at least 8 hours or more (Majority of shift is spent sitting). 
• Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more. 
• Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift. 
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
