• Minimum Experience: 1.5 years general nursing (system requirement)
• Accept First-time Traveler: Yes, only if greater than 2 years of experience
• Travel Restrictions: Must live > 100 miles away from any *** facility
• Return as Traveler: Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
• Hours: 0800-1630
• Patient Types: Patients in all acute care departments
• Patient Ratios: 1 Case Manager to 16-20 patients
• Required Certifications: BLS
• Education: Completion of a nursing education program approved by the South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Skills required: Previous discharge planning and Acute Care Case Management experience, proficiency in EPIC charting system, ability to meet with families and discuss plans of care
• Support on the Unit: Case Management Assistants, Lead Case Managers, Social Work consultants, Utilization Review RN’s, Hospitalist
• Charting System: EPIC (required)
• Orientation: 1.5 weeks including EPIC Class
• Scheduling: Weekend rotation: 2 weekends per 13-week assignment, typical staffing support provided
• On-call Schedule: No
• Holiday Expectations: Working 2/4 major holidays
• Time off Approval: Up to 7 days, must extend for any full week off, no RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally (first 2-3 weeks in August)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue or Professional attire
