Job Title: Director, Data Warehouse
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Data Warehouse to lead our organization's data management and analytics initiatives. The Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable and efficient data warehouse infrastructure to support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs. Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Vision:
- Develop a strategic roadmap and vision for the data warehouse architecture and analytics infrastructure, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Define data warehouse strategies, standards, and best practices to support business intelligence and decision-making.

Data Warehouse Design and Architecture:
- Design and architect a scalable and flexible data warehouse environment that integrates data from multiple sources, systems, and platforms.
- Define data models, schemas, and structures to optimize data storage, retrieval, and query performance.

ETL Development and Automation:
- Oversee the development and implementation of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ingest, cleanse, transform, and load data into the data warehouse.
- Implement data integration workflows and automation techniques to streamline ETL operations and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Data Governance and Quality:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Define data quality standards and implement data validation and cleansing procedures to maintain high-quality data in the warehouse.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Design and implement data marts, cubes, and reporting structures to support self-service analytics and decision-making.

Performance Optimization and Scalability:
- Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance, scalability, and resource utilization to ensure optimal query response times and system reliability.
- Implement performance tuning techniques, indexing strategies, and partitioning schemes to improve query performance and throughput.

- Implement robust security controls and access policies to protect sensitive data stored in the data warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and internal policies governing data access and usage.

- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to a team of data warehouse engineers, architects, and analysts.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the data warehouse team.

Vendor and Technology Management:
- Evaluate and select data warehouse technologies, platforms, and tools that align with business requirements and industry trends.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in data management, data warehousing, and business intelligence, with a focus on leadership and strategic planning.
- Strong technical proficiency in data warehouse concepts, architectures, and technologies, including relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based platforms.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data integration techniques, and data modeling methodologies.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Data Warehouse Architect (CDWA) are a plus.
