Position: Imaging Technologist 
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 2 Months

Shift:

• Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
• Break: 30-minute break included
• Weekends and Holidays: Not required

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist in the Breast Imaging Department is responsible for conducting bone density tests and mammography procedures. This role plays a crucial part in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer and other health conditions. The technologist will work with patients to obtain accurate images, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and provide high-quality imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. The position requires compliance with all required credentials and licensing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mammography and Bone Density Testing:

  • Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols and standards.
  • Conduct bone density tests as scheduled.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.

• Patient Care:

  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns.
  • Provide a supportive and compassionate environment for patients.

• Imaging and Documentation:

  • Obtain high-quality images and ensure accurate documentation for diagnosis.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure proper storage and handling of images.

• Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety and quality protocols, including infection control.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure that imaging equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.

Required Credentials:

• Certification and Licensing:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (required).
  • New York State Department of Health X-ray License (required).
• Other Requirements:
  • Must meet all required credentials including:
    • Annual Physical Exam
    • Background Check
    • Color Blindness Testing
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • COVID Immunization/Deferral/Waiver
    • Drug Screen (no expiration)
    • Education Verification (Diploma/Transcript)
    • Immunizations (Flu Shot, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, etc.) or Declinations as required.
    • TB Test
    • Vision Screening (Snellen)
    • Other credentials as listed.

Dress Code:

• Uniform: Caribbean blue scrubs.
