What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Planner - Construction Management (40 hours/week, Days) position at EvergreenHealth?
Wage Range: $106,704 - $170,685 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
Manages all aspects of Functional Program development, space design planning, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) procurement, medical regulatory oversight and space move management for new or reconfigured space construction.
Primary Duties:
1. Lead contact and interface to architect/engineer (A/E) and in-house design team members including soliciting fee proposals and facilitating contract process.
2. Manages all aspects of FF&E selection, contracting, purchase and installation. Oversees Admin Assistant for storage and inventory on campus, or surplusing, of spare FF&E that becomes available.
3. Manages communication between Construction Management (CM) and end user department project leader(s), design professionals and other key stakeholders and with general organization during design process, construction and move in.
4. Ensures communication between CM, department project leader, other key stakeholders, the general organization and community during design process and construction.
5. Coordinates post project evaluations in partnership with CM
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
* Registered Nurse or other bachelor’s degree in a clinical discipline.
* 5 years of clinical management experience in a variety of acute care hospital patient-care settings
* 3 years of experience in functional program development, process improvement and meeting facilitation for acute care hospital and other clinical and related settings.
* 3 years of FF&E (including medical equipment) selection, requisition and installation experience.
* 3 years of move management experience in a variety of acute care hospital patient-care and related settings involving end users and all necessary support departments and necessary outside vendors
* Exercises a working knowledge of facility design and construction documentation process.
* Basic training in LEAN process or other process quality improvement methodology and open to learning and implementing LEAN methodology.
* Demonstrates competent management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
* Travel locally to District sites or clinics that are under construction or refurbishment.
DESIRED for the position:
* LEAN design leadership experience for medical space planning projects.
* Experience with the EvergreenHealth organization in areas of facility operation and design.
