PAY RANGE: 15B - Min: $76,400 - Mid: $101,800
16B - Min: $89,900 - Mid: $119,900
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with flexibility within schedule. Job may require additional hours as required.
Flexible in-office/work-from-home hybrid schedule available.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring adequate fuel supply that meets cycle energy requirements by managing all aspects of nuclear fuels materials and services, including market analysis, contract negotiation, and administration. The successful candidate will be able to successfully blend supplier facing, executive presentation skills, project management, accounting, and technical acumen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all activities involving Uranium supply, conversion and enrichment for the nuclear fuel supply including contract negotiation, administration, scheduling delivery, and quantity notices.
- Perform market analysis and price forecasting, and support invoice processing, accruals, and budget updates for fuel procurement activities.
- Nuclear fuel cost forecasting, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and accounting.
- Advise management on an effective procurement strategy based on market conditions, requirements, inventory levels with the focus on achieving reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Interface with owners and senior management on fuel supply and fuel cost including significant budget responsibilities.
- Financial and cost projection reporting (e.g., 10K, 10Q, DOE-Form EIA-858, NEI Cost Survey, operating budget reports, and cash flow reports).
- Participate in industry conferences and facility tours (inside and outside of the United States) and travel without restriction and maintain a US passport.
- Assist with new fuel receipt and four-face engineering inspections during refueling outages.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision/management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- This position requires a degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, accounting, or finance.
- Work experience in reactor engineering, project management, business administration, contract administration, or financial related products (commodities strongly preferred).
- For Sr. Fuel Supply Coordinator, at least four years' work experience required.
- For Lead Fuel Supply Coordinator, at least eight years' work experience required.
- A MS degree is considered to count for 2 years of relevant experience.

- The position requires the ability to perform a detailed financial analysis relative to Uranium supply in order to assess multiple procurement options (cost of capital, inflation rates, currency conversion rates, risk analysis, etc.).
- The position requires an understanding of the global Uranium supply and associated politics. This position will need to follow global markets and assess how changes to uranium suppliers (countries opening up new mining locations or imposing mining restrictions, technological breakthroughs, companies suspending operations due to low prices, etc.) and Uranium legislation (tariffs, sanctions, state and federal carbon taxes) affect prices on the various markets (Uranium supply, conversion, and enrichment).
