Job Purpose
This position is to assist the Financial Controller and serve the accounting department in managing, processing, and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions. The Financial Assistant will work with the Financial Controller to accomplish interdepartmental goals and quotas. The required responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and fact-check invoices before sending them to customers
- Apply customer payments to proper invoices.
- Maintain and update general ledger and sales journal for approval
- Reconcile vendor statements to QuickBooks
- Prepare vendor payment analysis for approval
- Request and process W-9 forms from new vendors
- Review and enter vendor invoices in QuickBooks
- Scan, file, and log accounting documents
- Assist with Payroll functions
- Assist with purchasing functions
- Run scheduled or ad hoc reports for analysis
- Assist with month end close process
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
- Assist the Controller as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Some accounting education required
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs
- Excellent 10-key skills
- Proficiency with Windows operating system
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Ability to accept responsibility and accountability of given tasks
- Exceptional attention to detail
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Office environment, typically, with use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties
- Noise level is typical of that of an office setting
- This position will be required to adhere to all current COVID-19 safety regulations that are in place including, but not limited to: wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer, social distancing, etc.
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and to use repetitive hand motions
- Occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend at the waist
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
