Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life in 2023 and is seeking individuals that want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests and fellow Team Members as you see them. Speak politely and assist them as needed, making sure to answer all questions and providing appropriate directions. Respond in a courteous manner to all questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Making minor, mid-level and major repairs and/or replacements to all company owned HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Gather and organize necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Complete all maintenance tasks in a reasonable time while adhering to all applicable trade standards and codes.
- Identify problems, initiate work orders, accomplish assigned work orders, and complete all necessary repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain logs in an organized manner.
- Operate with the property maintenance software program and properly update essential information via the use of a smart device.
- Complete inspections and checklists and correct noted problems.
- Responsible for correct use of fire extinguishers and/or other life safety systems.
- Operate a motor vehicle with a standard or automatic transmission on private and public roadways.
- The use of proper personal protective equipment.
- Keep storage area clean, organized and stocked.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance defects to Manager
- Remove old systems/Install new ones.
- Meet local HVAC codes.
- Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Comply with service standards, work instructions and guest requirements.
- Assist with guest queries. Communicate with guests or staff to resolve any HVAC maintenance issues.
- Read blueprints, work from manufacturer’s operating manuals or apply knowledge of equipment to devise appropriate repairs.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
- May instruct personnel in proper use and operation of heating/ air-conditioning equipment, etc.
- May participate in energy use studies, comparison, etc. as requested by the Chief Engineer.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- 2 years’ experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
- Knowledgeable in methods to do advance troubleshooting of refrigerant systems, control system and skilled in reclaiming refrigerant, ensuring proper regulatory paperwork.
- Knowledgeable in sheet metal, AC duct fabrication and assembly.
- Working knowledge of various Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of performing role in a busy work environment
- Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and / or reach repeatedly.
- Able to safely lift 75 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
- Able to properly use a ladder.
- Able to work safely and comfortably in open heights.
- Able to be on feet and moving around for entire shift.
- Manual dexterity of hand to use all equipment.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside
