Summary:
The Director of Finance is a key position in the Finance department of our expanding organization and is responsible for treasury, FP&A, budgeting, audit, tax, and accounting for Evernorth and Evernorth Loan Fund. The Director of Finance helps to direct the general operations and finances of Evernorth and its subsidiary organizations. The position works closely with the CFO and collaborates with a variety of external partners and broadly across the Evernorth organization. Key competencies for the position include high level skills in financial management, tax compliance, financial structuring, analytics, accounting, communication, and the ability to lead and manage.

Primary Office: Burlington or Portland
Representative Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop forecasting tools and methods to support Evernorth and to plan for future opportunities and growth.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts.
- Align corporate strategy with execution and track performance.
- Forecast major sources of revenue and expenses for the organizations.
- Oversee annual budget process, collaborate with business line managers to prepare budgets, and provide quarterly reporting of budget to actual results.
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of reports for the leadership team and board of directors.
Treasury Management: Manage and monitor Evernorth’s cash and capital resources, model various asset and capital deployment strategies.
- Manage and monitor global cash flow for the organization.
- Manage banking relationships optimizing account structure to reduce fees and maximize income.
- Monitor restricted and non-restricted cash accounts.
- Manage and monitor Evernorth and Fund reserve investments.
- Model various alternative capital resources and deployment strategies to effectively manage resources for the greatest impact within an acceptable range of risk.
- Facilitate interdepartmental integration and optimization of data systems and applications used in financial management.
Loan Fund Management & Accounting: Ensure that loan fund objectives are being met, including accounting, data analytics, financial modeling, and investor reporting.
- Collaborate with Loan Fund staff and the CFO to establish and maintain policies and procedures for loan fund management and accounting; including financial statement preparation and associated supporting schedules.
- Report on loan portfolio quality, asset growth, earnings, liquidity, and sensitivity considerations for managing risks.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to satisfy funder requirements, CDFI certification, and rating review.
- Prepare monthly loan fund cash flow projections and capital deployment reports.
Corporate: Monitor EN owned housing projects and Real Estate development projects, help to coordinate, and direct the general operations of Evernorth and subsidiaries.
- Working with Asset Managers and others monitor the performance of EN owned projects, monitor watch list projects, and forecast needs for future operating deficit financing.
- Working with Real Estate Development team track and monitor gap financing needs.
- Manage and monitor corporate insurance.

Education, Experience, & Competencies
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 10 years progressively responsible finance related positions
- Deep knowledge of audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Office 365 and financial management systems
- Proven financial management, balance sheet management, capital management and financial structuring skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
