Performs the duties of Supervisor On-Call.
Essential Functions: - Plans, schedules, and coordinates work assignments related to pressure management and maintenance of distribution regulator stations, gate stations, odorizer stations, NVG stations, customer worker/monitor regulator stations. - Develops, manages and coordinates the long-term work plan to meet system needs. - Coordinates with Capital Construction Team to perform major "tie-ins" and "tapping" activities. - Develops and implements employee safety programs and monitors employee and contractor work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards. - Prepares, monitors and controls departmental O&M Budget and reports on variances as required. - Administers approved Company policies and procedures related to employee training, qualification of construction personnel, job-related physical examinations and other activities and associated reports for compliance with state and federal regulations. - Administers the agreement between the Company and the Union. - Reviews and approves time and vehicle reports, purchase requisitions, and invoices related to departmental activity. - Schedules and monitors vehicle maintenance and repairs. - Supervises distribution system restoration efforts during emergencies. - Performs the responsibilities of Area Supervisor On-Call. Qualifications: - Thorough knowledge of distribution construction and maintenance work practices and procedures. - Thorough knowledge of applicable governmental codes and regulations affecting gas distribution and production. - Knowledge of accounting and business procedures. - Working knowledge of environmental requirements affecting related activities. - Familiarity with computer operations. - Thorough knowledge of the Company-Union agreement. - Ability to communicate effectively within the organization and the public. - Demonstrated leadership and administrative ability. Education: - Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience Experience : - 5 plus years of related experience Working Conditions: - This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing.
