Responsibilities
- Support OUSD(I&S) in the synchronization of activities to improve Defense Analysis capabilities within the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. Support development and implementation of policy guidance for DIE analytic programs, processes, concepts, training, policies, and procedures. Support oversight of analysis as required. Participate in defense analysis forums across the DIE as required.
- Assist the Defense Analysis Division Chief and Director of CCMDIS in leading the Analysis Oversight Program. Responsible for developing, updating, planning, and executing the program to determine the effectiveness of analysis performed by Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) members by evaluating them.
- Maintain situational awareness of defense analytic issues. As a member of the Defense Analysis Division, participate in projects/actions related to policy initiatives, strategic guidance, governance, analytic workforce development, automation tools, and tradecraft enhancement
- Assist in leading the Analytic Integrity Program for the DIE. Serve as the lead action point of contact for the Analytic Integrity Program responsible for overseeing the improvement of analysis and tradecraft standards in accordance with the Intelligence Community Directive 203, Analytic Standards, among the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) analytic workforce. Coordinate with the ODNI Analytic Integrity and Standards Group and lead planning, coordinating, and executing activities of the Defense Analytic Tradecraft Council (DATC), as well as preparing WS senior officials to co-chair the DATC.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute attendance at tradecraft meetings, as well as draft reports to capture key points and actions from each meeting. Engage with the DA Division's Analysis Oversight Program to maintain awareness of tradecraft issues discovered from the program in order to leverage the DATC for mitigation. Maintain awareness on Analytic Workforce Development Portfolio issues to keep situational awareness of tradecraft and workforce programs, such as ombudsman, analytic symposium, intelligence training, and certification.
- Assist the Defense Analysis Division Chief in leading the Analytic Workforce Development Portfolio, which provides oversight of the development of the defense analytic workforce to meet current and future intelligence requirements.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university is require Master’s degree desired from an accredited college or university
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Recent (within the past 3 years) relevant experience working intelligence issues related to analytic oversight, analytic tradecraft, and/or analytic workforce development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the Intelligence Community (IC)
- Demonstrated knowledge of defense intelligence analysis through at least 5 years of experience as intelligence professional and work in positions requiring an understanding of DoD strategic and operational intelligence.
- 3 years of experience researching and writing policy for the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the IC
