This direct hire position is for a fast-growing client in the automotive service industry, operating a network of independent centers focused on servicing used vehicles. Known for their innovative subscription program, they aim to build customer loyalty through cost-effective maintenance services. As they expand from 12 to 18 locations, they seek a Growth Marketing Manager (Project Manager) to grow the subscription service and a District Manager to oversee the expanding network. Job Description

We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial-minded Project Manager to lead the growth and management of a new subscription program for a well-established automotive service provider. This program offers customers a cost-effective, convenient way to maintain their vehicles through a monthly subscription plan. The Project Manager will play a critical role in expanding the program from its current base of 500 subscribers to 5,000, ensuring its success through strategic planning, collaboration, and effective program management.


In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the subscription service, ensuring seamless delivery and high customer satisfaction. You will develop and implement strategies to drive subscriber growth, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to enhance the subscription platform. Your responsibilities will include analyzing program performance, refining offerings based on customer feedback, and staying ahead of industry trends to keep the program competitive and innovative.


The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of project management experience, preferably within a subscription-based service or the automotive industry. You should have a proven track record of scaling customer-facing programs, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This position offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity from Columbia, SC, or remotely, with monthly travel to the Columbia office.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the subscription program, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the subscription base from 500 to 5,000 monthly subscribers, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, developers, and external vendors to enhance the subscription platform and integrate new features or services as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze program performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve the program and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, setting clear goals and expectations, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Continuously refine program offerings based on customer feedback, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings, identifying opportunities for program enhancement and differentiation.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and successful program execution.
  • Provide regular reports on program progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for future growth.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in scaling customer-facing programs or subscription-based services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and project management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive service industry or related fields is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to the Columbia, SC office one week per month if working remotely.


Education / Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, ideally within a subscription-based service, automotive industry, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling customer-facing programs or services, demonstrating success in driving growth and operational efficiency.
