This field-based individual is someone who will increase awareness and education of Evolus products, respond to unsolicited training requests, develop professional relationships with thought leaders, identify research and grant opportunities, as well as provide timely, accurate, unbiased, fair-and-balanced product information. This person will disseminate technical and scientific information to critical internal and external stakeholders. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Lead the West Field Team of Medical Affairs Clinicians (MACs) by communicating expectations and guiding the team in medical strategy, prioritization, and in support of medical affairs objectives.
- Ensure team achieves compliant and clinically meaningful scientific engagements & activities with health care practitioners (HCPs).
- Educate HCPs and personnel regarding best clinical practice for use of Evolus products. Mentor medical affairs and commercial field personnel on scientific data and clinical use of Evolus products.
- Act as main contact for response, triage, and management of complicated adverse events, reports of product complaints, and complicated medical information requests and medical inquiries.
- Organize and implement development of medical information for clinical growth of the medical affairs team, such as SRLs, educational HCP training videos, training manuals, educational programs, etc.
- Collaborate with HR with recruitment, on-boarding, training, deployment, and management of newly hired full time MACs as direct reports. Collaborate with legal and compliance to assure that MAC trainings are done in an efficient manner and within compliance of the FDA, Pharma, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Establish, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for full time MACs. Evaluate clinical competency through use of performance reviews and tools as needed. Monitor and verify that training records are completed correctly and adequately to meet compliance and company standards.
- Assist direct reports in identifying opportunities for growth and leadership, inspiring them to take an active role in career development and improve their personal and professional potential.
- Build relationships with thought leaders and locally influential providers.
- Maintain a high level of compliance with company standard operating procedures, training records and administrative documentation.
- Attend conventions, symposiums, congresses and advisory board programs to provide medical and scientific support to internal and external customers.
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, sales, and Strategic Marketing teams by providing medical and scientific expertise.
Skills and Qualifications Required for this Dynamic Team Member:
- Aesthetic injector (RN, NP, PA degree required).
- Minimum 7 years of clinical aesthetic experience.
- Minimum 5 years of medical education and/or medical affairs experience.
- Superior injection skills and solid grasp of facial anatomy.
- Experience working with dermatologists and/or plastic surgeons.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Experience handling adverse events and product complaints.
- Leadership experience.
- Adapts to change quickly and calmly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

- The position is remote with need to be located in the Western US and in proximity to a major airport.
- Reports directly to the VP of Medical Affairs.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
Compensation & Total Rewards
The pay range for this position is $151,800 to $197,400. Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on a number of considerations including but not limited to role relevant knowledge and skills, experience, education, certifications, and more.
