Cath Lab RN

Evolve Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. Located in Federal Way, WA. As a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures. Requirements:

2 years' experience

WA RN License

ACLS, BLS AHA only.

EPIC - EMR

4 - 10/hour shifts.

Start Date 5/28 end date 7/23.

COVID Vaccine Required.

2 labs 1 prep/recovery

Common diagnoses/Types of patients:CAD, stemi's. We do see a lot of random IR cases including embolization, inari, ekos, vascular angiogram/angioplastys.
RN's do not scrub at this time. Only sedate and montor mac lab.
Experience or 'Must have' skills: ACLS/code experience/IR experience. Strongly prefer prep/recovery skills.
EMR/Equipment EPIC for charting. We use balloon pumps for cath lab, but no impella.

Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and obtaining vital signs
- Assist with the preparation and positioning of patients for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Administer medications and IV fluids as directed by the physician
- Assist with the insertion and removal of catheters and other devices
- Operate specialized equipment, such as sonography machines, to visualize the heart and blood vessels
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Provide education and support to patients and their families

Skills:
- Strong background in pediatrics and experience working with children
- Excellent patient care skills, including assessing vital signs and monitoring patient status
- Proficient in performing catheterization procedures, including suturing if necessary
- Experience administering injections and IV medications
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations, such as in the ER

Biweekly pay $6,880.00 includes stipend for travelers.
