Corporate Finance and Strategy Analyst

The Corporate Finance and Strategy Analyst works with most areas within the company and is responsible for ensuring key performance metrics are properly organized, analyzed, forecasted and presented in a timely and accurate manner to allow for efficient business decision making by the Management Team. In addition, this position will also be responsible for other ad-hoc projects as they arise to support the growth of the company. This position will be highly visible within our company and will enable the candidate to work directly with Senior Management team. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in a financial modeling, planning, forecasting and competitive analysis role in a corporate finance department (or similar experience in investment banking, private equity or consulting)
• Strong background in business and financial analysis; demonstrated understanding of financial statements and performance metrics including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and accompanying footnotes
• Thorough and demonstrated understanding of operational key drivers, financial concepts and principles including cash flow, net present value, IRR and return on investment
• Ability to synthesize and analyze complex data
• In depth working knowledge in Tableau or equivalent BI tool is required
• Advance knowledge of MSOffice, particularly Excel
• Must be able to prioritize, multitask as well as work independently
• Must be able to maintain quality of work and at the same time meet multiple deadlines as required

Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather and present key information skillfully
• Analyze business performance results for use in updating key performance indicators and financial variances, including investigating causality, in order to provide actionable intelligence and recommendation
• Provide financial and project management support for the achievement of total company goals of continued growth, cost savings and efficiency improvement
• Effectively communicate and/or explain performance results and key drivers when requested
• Assist team members in solving problems utilizing business intelligence combined with deeper analysis of the area
• Respond to ad-hoc analysis including creating additional models and plans as directed for the purpose of advancing business strategies alongside the Management Team
