The Warehouse Operator rotates in all warehouse functions including: Order picking, Putaways, Order prep, and shipping/receiving, must follow ISO procedures in all phases of warehouse operations. Performs SAP functions with-in the WM module. Knowledge of IATA, IMDG and 49 CFR hazardous regulations for shipment of materials. Practices company safety standards at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for picking orders and grouping orders in SAP. Assuring orders are picked on time to meet shipping requirements.
- Putting away stock and process staging in SAP each day assuring raw material for plants is pulled and delivered. All finished goods must be located in bins each day.
- Preparing customer orders for shipment, assuring customer specifications are followed and including change labels if material is shipping as a market number. Perform a second audit with each order. Print labels or missing documentation in SAP as required. Load trucks when required
Receive all inbound freight in SAP against open purchase orders. - Perform daily checks in SAP, correcting errors assuring the inventory integrity in the warehouse is maintained.
- Perform a third audit before loading truck and process Post Goods Issue in SAP. Process Dailey SAP report for verification that all outbound orders ship on time.
- Dispense/Piece material to precise weight measurements.
- Complete sampling from tankers, railcars, and containers.
- Counting and reconciling inventory.
- Accepts responsibility for his or her own safety and health. Performs assigned duties in a manner that is safe and protective of the environment. Follows operating procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally protective workplace. Observes and reports all incidents and unsafe conditions. Takes an active interest in improving safety and environmental protection.
- Forklift moving materials from plant to warehouse mainly. Preparing materials for shipment (labeling, scanning, using the computer to do a few transactions).
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma required or equivalent experience.
- Experience operating a forklift. Forklift Certified preferred
- Knowledge of a “RF” process, understanding of bar code processes and ability to use a scanner.
- Ability to understand and adhere to customer specifications when preparing orders for shipment.
- Basic math skills
- Previous experience handling hazardous materials preferred.
- Physical mobility and agility required.
- Sensory faculties needed to safely perform the job duties that allow a person to react to potential or immediate hazardous conditions and to take appropriate action.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection, safety harness, and full protection suit as well as common protective or safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
