Position Description : Position Summary :
The Front Desk and Luggage Checker plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service in emergency lodging situations.
This role includes managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries, securing and organizing luggage, and ensuring guests have a positive experience.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Front Desk Duties :
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Maintain accurate guest records and manage reservations.
- Handle emergency situations professionally and communicate with management as needed.
Luggage Checker Duties :
- Receive, tag, and organize guests' luggage during check-in.
- Securely store luggage in designated areas, ensuring easy retrieval for guests.
- Maintain accurate records of stored luggage and assist guests with luggage retrieval when needed.
- Ensure all luggage is handled with care and respect.
Additional Duties :
- Provide courteous and professional customer service at all times.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including coordinating with housekeeping and security teams to ensure smooth lodging operations.
Qualifications :
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Prior experience in front desk or customer service roles is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move luggage safely.
