Position Overview
The Exact Sciences Customer & Digital Experience (CDX) team is responsible for defining, driving, and delivering innovative, immersive, memorable customer-centric journeys for all our customers, across all channels (digital and physical). These journeys are grouped by Customer Types (e.g., Patient, Provider) and further categorized into a set of Experiences (e.g., Understand Risks & Complete Screening, Confirm Diagnosis). Each Experience has a set of specific, measurable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that the overall team is accountable to fulfill.

The Senior UX Writer will be responsible for writing the most compelling copy that is accessible to all our customers. They author powerful content that helps our customers clearly understand how to take action. Apply the latest writing trends and best practices for text messages, emails, letters, websites, and other digital tools. They create content that is inclusive to all. Eradicating cancer is a powerful mission that is meaningful to people of all backgrounds, comprehension levels, and cultures. You'll join a team that talks the talk and walks the walk when it comes to collaboration. A Senior UX writer works closely with designers, content strategists, UX researchers, product teams, marketing, and other partners across the entire business. They champion our innovative ways of working. Contribute to and maintain writing styles and standards. They'll tell compelling stories. Show stakeholders across the organization how your writing makes a difference to customers. This writer will support our Web Experiences team.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Adhere to accessibility requirements.
• Learn new UX best practices and continuously incorporate them into their work.
• Tell stories to help ensure that all writing is focused on being user-friendly.
• Use words creatively to solve complex problems.
• Assist others with crafting the right words for communication.
• Use expertise to speak from the user's perspective and represent them in communications.
• Is comfortable both receiving and giving feedback on their work on others.
• Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
• Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
• Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 80% of a typical working day.
• Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
• Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Journalism, Mass Communications, Design, Computer Science or field as outlined in the essential duties or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience.
• 7 years of experience in UX writing, technical writing, or a related role.
• Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and Internet.
• Advanced understanding of accessible, inclusive, and equitable design
• Experience in creating and leveraging user personas.
• Experience with the principles of Agile/Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience with content management systems and user testing tools.
• Experience in Figma, Miro, and other design tools as a means to edit and contribute to designs and content strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing for large omnichannel experiences with multiple brands, including blogs and editorials.
• A background in marketing and brand copy.
• Experience writing in the healthcare field, or other highly regulated fields.
• Experience in healthcare, wellness, or digital health.
• Experience with service design (digital and physical) and operations.
• Experience with both B2C and B2B products and/or services.
