Description

Summary:

The Manager, Medical Services is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of management and oversight of the medical review team to ensure that all medical clearances are made in accordance with applicable medical standards, Examinetics’ medical criteria, and are completed and communicated within prescribed time frames. The ideal candidate will have sufficient knowledge and experience working with OSHA, MSHA, CAOCH, NIOSH, FRA and DOT regulations in order to ensure compliance for all Examinetics clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

This Job Description may not include all of the duties assigned to the employee and may be updated and modified by the department supervisor, according to the operational dynamics and needs of the company.

  • General responsibilities include: interviewing and hiring; training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and approving payroll/PTO
  • Generates and distributes Medical Review Summary Reports to senior management
  • Assign duties to staff to manage online questionnaire reviews and incoming questionnaire faxes
  • Answer client questions regarding test results and clearance results
  • Approve departmental and Clinic Invoices for Accounting
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify needs for various Sales Proposals
  • Collaborate with Operations in developing Operations Orders that are needed for Field Operations, Data Processing, Medical Review and Accounting
  • Liaison between Physicians and other examining health professionals
  • Orient Medical Examiners regarding Examinetics’ protocols for Mobile Testing Programs
  • Counsel clients regarding test and clearance results
  • Examinetics liaison with LabCorp

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of current OSHA and other federal medical surveillance and testing requirements
  • Knowledge of current occupational health and safety training requirements, from both a programmatic and training delivery perspective
  • Ability to review current work conditions and practices for compliance with OSHA workplace safety requirements
  • Review client work practices and make recommendations for increased effectiveness
  • Assist with preparation and submission of required OSHA, DOT and other reports, filings and postings

Education and/or Experiences:

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred
  • Three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus
  • Familiarity with medical/health testing data and prior experience directing a production environment is highly desirable. Occupational health background required

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • COHN (preferred)
