Excel Academy is a Group Home that is actively seeking a reliable, compassionate and fun employee. We have a beautiful campus along the Illinois River, currently looking for outgoing people. We have days and overnight shifts available. We offer a 3 day work week with 12 hours shifts from 6AM-6PM and 6PM-6AM! DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a role model for adolescents, implement and monitor goals and behavior programs, assist the residents with preparing food meals and other adult living skills and be a mentor to the residents in the program. Direct care staff helps teach basic living skills such as; cleaning, personal care, medication administration, ensuring that all policy, procedure, regulations and contractual obligations are followed at all times. Direct Care staff will transport residents to appointments and off campus activities as needed with campus vehicles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma/GED, Valid Drivers License, Effective communication skills as well as a positive attitude and ability to build rapport with the youth in the program. CPR is preferred but you will be certified in CPR and First Aid as well as Medication Administration Certified upon hire. Health Benefits are available for Full Time employees.
