Assistant Maintenance Director

 TASKS: 

    1 Works closely with and follows directions from the Maintenance Director;

    2 Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition;

    3 Maintains and repairs basic functions of the facility as determined by the Maintenance Director;

    4 Takes care of the tools and equipment;

    5  Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment,            sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment,                carries, lifts and stocks supplies;

    6 Assumes supervisor’s responsibilities in his/her absence;

    7 Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which         recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;

    8 Performs other duties as requested.- which may be in housekeeping and laundry department due to all 3 departments                having the same director.

    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

    • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of areas, for sanitation, order,             and safety.

    • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
