What are the responsibilities and job description for the Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (job #MW-LA) position at Exceptional Family Resources?
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the southwest area of Syracuse with a teenage girl, who requires supports pertaining to behaviors. New hires will be provided training, support, and guidance from the family on how best to provide these supports. The individual is lively, and enjoys getting out and about within her community, however, support within her home can be provided as well.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation and a driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
Hiring for after-school shifts, two or three days a week, for 4 hours each- the new hire can decide upon the set schedule depending on which days they would prefer to work and discuss this with the family. Shifts are approximately 2:45pm-6:45pm, but never go past 7:00pm. The payrate is $19/hr. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
