We are currently representing a well-known manufacturing company, a leading global manufacturer of heating, cooling and water heating equipment, seeking a TEMPORARY Inventory Control Specialist to join their team on a contractual basis, for 6 months. This is a medical leave for a permanent employee, that could be extended longer, based on the business need.
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts and other company reports.

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts and other company reports.
Responsibilities
- Conducts system material transactions (inventory/shipping/receiving) for the distribution center.
- Processes and maintains work order statuses, including but not limited to work order issuances, status changes, and closing.
- Processes and manages stop shipment orders for the distribution center.
- Performs material receipt transactions and reconciliation adjustments with accounts payable or purchasing and stockroom material issuance against work orders.
- Performs cycle counts and investigates and determines remediation plans for inventory/material variances and shortages.
- Processes pick/ship tickets, prepares material for outbound shipments, and expedites/resolves backlog issues.
- Reviews paperwork received for inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy and proper sign off. Make inventory adjustments as required.
- Reviews inventory for obsolete items and assists in liquidation and scrapping obsolete or damaged inventory.
- Retrieves scrap logs from production and review for accuracy.
- Works closely with Forecasting and Planning in managing obsolete inventory and making adjustments as necessary.
- Administers the independent compliance testing process.
