Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum 3 plus years of relevant work experience in campaigns or events in government. New York State experience preferred.
Duties Description
The Strategic Planning Associate works across teams to plan and execute the Governor’s vision for public events. The Strategic Planning Associate will coordinate with Press, Digital, Intergovernmental Affairs, Executive Operations, and State agencies to develop a cohesive mission and vision for the Governor’s time and public events.
Specific duties include:
o Working with Briefing team
o Work with Scheduling team to ensure seamless process
Specific duties include:
- Help to conceive and shepherd public events that highlight the Governor’s key priorities
- Meet regularly with Scheduling, Executive Operations and Intergovernmental Affairs teams to share information and build events
- Work with chamber teams and agency teams to identify high-profile potential events the Governor should attend
- Work with Chamber teams and agency teams to identify events that can be built for the Governor
- Oversee high-level public events, including:
o Working with Briefing team
o Work with Scheduling team to ensure seamless process
- Work with Executive Operations and Agency staff to thoroughly vet potential events before they are shared with the Governor
- Assist Executive Operations in ensuring the appropriate staff are in prep sessions and staffing events
- Monitor for and plan for expected and recurring events (i.e. holidays, anniversaries, major milestones etc.)

We are filling one position for this role that may be located in EITHER the Albany or New York City office.
