Job Summary
Responsible for supporting and ensuring all billing activities are completed accurately and on time. Lead the monthly billing cycle, including analytic reviews and the interface of data to the financial system. Oversee day to day activities of team members and monitor work assignments to ensure all resources are fully utilized. The Team Leader also trains, assists and monitors staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Learn and maintain the billing process to meet compliance requirements
- Daily data entry and sign off on other billing processes
- Generate bills and invoices specific to customer accounts
- Deliver invoices to clients via digital and traditional mail services
- Reconcile all client accounts
- Send delinquent accounts updated invoices
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports
- Delegate duties when necessary to staff
Key Skills
- Proven experience as Billing Specialist
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal/relationship skills
- Excellent prioritizing and time management skills
- Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data
- Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and ER software (Solomon experience is a plus)
- Results-driven and patient
- High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of billing experience
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Physical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine. Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.
