PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Sr Manager, Regional Sales will be responsible for natural gas sales to C&I customers within assigned territory and sales of renewable natural gas throughout the United States. The Sr Manager will lead a team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers to meet or exceed assigned quotas and performance goals and be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for natural gas and renewable natural gas products and services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Develop and lead a sales team with the sales of natural gas and renewable natural gas products and services to
  2. Lead, develop and manage a multi-person and diverse sales team. Manage territory and success plans and related budgets. Mentor and coach sales team in support of their efforts to meet annual sales quotas and their individual career development plans.
  3. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual quotas and long-term business plan.
  4. Manage and ensure pipeline and opportunities are maintained and accurate in SalesForce for both regional and national opportunities. Report on pipeline forecast and sales performance to Sr. Management.
  5. Assist in and monitor applicable regulatory / legislative and other industry matters that impact assigned territory and/or natural gas or renewable natural gas products and services.

Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering or related technical field.
  • Prior experience in natural gas markets with emphasis in sales.
  • At least 10 years prior natural gas or energy related sales experience.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to formulate and execute marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience and contacts in the respective marketplace. 
  • Outstanding communication skills and adept at speaking to large groups.
  • The position requires a self-motivated individual willing to take on a broad range of responsibilities and make decisions in a manner consistent with Constellation values.
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) industry and/or sustainability markets.
  • Relationships in the Renewable Natural Gas or sustainability industry.
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Business or Engineering.

  • Supervisory duties: Strategic initiatives, projects, planning activities (budget, headcount, etc) plus strategic input to Senior level decisions
  • Budget: Budget responsibilities defined by DoFA (varies by group)
  • Decision making: Broad decision making authority
  • Contacts: Combination of Senior internal and external constituents
  • Span of control: Manages combination of individual contributors and other managers;
  • 3-6 Direct reports
  • 7-10 Indirect reports
