What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant Sleep Lab - per diem position at Exeter Hospital?
Provide support to the practice in the functional areas of clerical clinical and business under the direct supervision of a Nurse Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant or Physician.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience
- CPR certified within 90 days of hire
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs clinical duties such as assisting provider in examinations; procedures and obtaining vital signs.
- Cleans exam rooms as needed
- Follow-up with patient regarding homecare.
- May schedule diagnostic testing; follow up with patients; as ordered by the physician.
- Performs administrative duties including answering telephone inquiries; scheduling; organizing patient charts; filing; faxing; pulling and copying patient records.
- Orders and stocks exam rooms with appropriate medical supplies.
- Calls in prescriptions as directed by provider.
- Assist with obtaining and maintaining CPAP downloads and database.
- Assist with pre-authorizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
