Math 2 Teacher - new higher starting salary!

The Math 2 Teacher is responsible for providing math instruction to help students age 16 to 24 earn their high school diploma or GED. This individual will design fun and engaging lesson plans to entertain while teaching students valuable math skills.

Here at Exeter, we teach young adults the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs, military service, or further education. Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, and Patient Care.

EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPS
Employment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to provide students with math instruction leading to high school diploma or GED completion
• Provides students with comprehensive and individualized case management that ensures student progress, achievement and completion of the Job Corps program
• Ensures classroom is well organized and conducive to student learning
• Holds students accountable for following Center's dress code/behavioral standards of conduct
• Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner
• Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards
• Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
• Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required, Master’s degree preferred
• Valid RI teaching certificate required
• Previous teaching or Job Corps experience strongly preferred
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching
