About the Role:

This position will coordinate and instruct our amazing educational programs including, but not limited to, seasonal camps and the Exhilaration Academy Program.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Create, plan, lead, and implement our summer camp program and seasonal camps for children• Create, plan, lead, and implement our enrichment academy program for children• Provide high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for youth participants• Supervise youth participants and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.• Adapt instructional materials as needed for a variety of students• Provide positive feedback for parents• Keep detailed stats/records• Other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• A love for children/families• Must be dependable/reliable and have the ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical and professional conduct • Experience or education in working with children Minimum 6 ECE units and/or working towards degree in child development or related field • Great organizational and communication skills• Energetic and positive personality• Ability to motivate others towards learning new skills • First aid and CPR certified preferred• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred• An understanding of trauma and how it effects the developing brain (our training will include this information)• Empathy for people of various backgrounds and abilities• Collaboration skills to work with parents and staff• Ability to maintain focus and control with participants in chaotic environments

Physical Requirements:

• 90% of time – standing/sitting, moving with children, picking up materials, reaching for materials • 10% of time - sitting on mats with children, floor activities• Cleaning and putting away toys/educational materials• Able to lift 25 pounds
