MicroStrategy Architect
Location: Proximity to NYC required for occasional on-site client visits (1-2 times per month).
Job Summary:
As a MicroStrategy Architect, you will lead the development and strategic implementation of MicroStrategy solutions. With a deep understanding of business intelligence, you will be instrumental in the migration of legacy reporting systems to MicroStrategy, ensuring a seamless transition and enhanced decision-making capabilities for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design robust MicroStrategy architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals.
Develop comprehensive roadmaps for the migration of existing reports and legacy systems to MicroStrategy.
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of MicroStrategy projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
Act as a subject matter expert in MicroStrategy, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
Conduct detailed data modeling, creating a semantic layer that reflects business logic and supports complex report development.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and documents that provide actionable insights to business users.
Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Perform regular system audits to ensure performance optimization and compliance with data governance standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, staying ahead of industry trends and incorporating new technologies when beneficial.
Liaise with the IT infrastructure team to manage MicroStrategy environments, including upgrade strategies and security considerations.
Requirements:
At least 9 years of experience with a strong track record in MicroStrategy architecture and business intelligence.
Demonstrated experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and the creation of semantic layers in MicroStrategy.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
In-depth knowledge of SQL, database technologies, and ETL processes.
Hands-on experience with Databricks is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications in MicroStrategy are highly regarded.
