Sr. Electrical Engineer – PE 

Chantilly, VA (hybrid)

Exp Federal is an established full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally. 

 

 The Challenge:  

We are seeking a talented mid-level Sr. Electrical Engineer – PE  to add to our full-service electrical design team in Chantilly, VA.

Principle Areas of Responsibility:  

  • Assist in the preparation of low voltage building design drawings on AutoCad and Revit.  
  • Prepares drawings, specifications, and procedures for the installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.  
  • Provides Design/Quality control for ongoing construction projects.  
  • Reviews contractor submittals against specifications and responds to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).  
  • Prepares and/or reviews and evaluates design calculations.  
  • Develops independent cost estimates both for the government as well as for internal proposal purposes. 

 

 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.  
  • PE license required
  • Ability to travel internationally.  
  • Proficiency in REVIT.  
  • 7-10 years of experience in design within the electrical engineering discipline.  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
