Your Challenge:
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training to join our local team in Moncton, NB. Not only will you be given an opportunity to help bring local infrastructure projects to life; but you will also have a chance if desired to collaborate with EXP team members across North America on some very large and challenging infrastructure projects in other jurisdictions!
Your Responsibilities:
Contribute to the overall planning, design, and construction of a wide range of civil, municipal and transportation infrastructure projects by:
- Undertaking field investigations (e.g. topographic surveys, condition assessments, etc.);
- Performing basic design calculations;
- Creating design drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D;
- Generating material quantities and cost estimates;
- Assisting with the preparation of Construction Specifications; and
- Monitoring contractor progress during construction.
The Skills & Knowledge You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering;
- Eligibility for registration as a Member-in-Training (MIT) with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB);
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in the design and construction of civil, municipal and/or transportation infrastructure (i.e. water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, roads, etc.);
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word, and MS Excel;
- Familiar with the use of survey equipment;
- Strong work ethic and communication skills; and
- A “Can Do” attitude and strong desire to learn.
