Your Challenge
EXP is currently searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on Science/Technology projects supporting the San Francisco Bay area team. This position can be working remotely from anywhere in the US.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and mentor design and junior engineering staff .
- Ensure our electrical designs meet all relevant codes and standards Ensure our electrical designs meet EXP’s design and quality standards.
- QC all work of the electrical engineering staff.
- Perform risk management procedures to minimize EXP & client's exposure to problems.
- Lead the design team to produce construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.
- Understand and apply engineering principles and fundamentals.
- Encourage collaboration to seek the best solutions.
- Develop and monitor electrical engineering work plans (deliverables, required man-hours, etc.) in conjunction with the project manager.
- Write the project studies and reports for all Electrical systems.
- Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination. Calculate return on investment for competing design options.
- Contributes to revisions of company design standards and master specifications Be the Subject Matter Expert in specific Electrical requirements for applications within a market sector(s).
- Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
- Edits and develops basis of design narratives documenting project scope.
The Skills and Knowledge You Bring
- BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the state of California
- 12 years experience in the industry
- Experience in designing Laboratories, Science & Technology facilities
