Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, other Expeditors offices worldwide, and co-workers through high volume of email, phone, instant message, and in person.- Prepare, handle, analyze, verify, and process documentation in compliance with domestic and international regulations, customer requirements, and Expeditors policies
- Accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
- Tracking and tracing international cargo.
- Warehouse receiving, labeling, measuring, weighing, and sorting.
- Verifying document and system details against received cargo.
- Forklift certification to be completed within the three months.
- Accurate and timely client billing.
- Problem solving / Trouble shooting
- Contribute to maintaining strong vendor relationships- airlines, trucking companies, and others.
- Meet key performance indicators to support department, branch, product, and company goals.
- Desire to understand overall department process flow and constantly seek opportunities for improved efficiency.
- Additional duties and training as required.
PC skills (including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, internet).- Strong organizational and communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
- Must be able to shift priorities easily and manage deadlines independently.
- Must be able to read, count accurately, do basic math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly. Fluency in English.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper lifting techniques. The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements. Must be capable of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
- Six months to one year experience and/or training in relevant field.
- Prior work experience in a business environment.
- Understanding of air documentation a plus.
- IATA certification.
