Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated person who enjoys a fast-paced, professional, and dynamic work environment to fill this full-time position for an Import/Export Consultant
Key Responsibilities
· Establish clear and concise communications, both internally and externally
· Research Customs and Partner Government Agency regulations
· Research ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations
· Determine HTS, ECCN classification, including export licensing requirements
· Prepare and submit export licensing applications
· Draft analysis and opinion letters
· Audit import and export transactions
· Audit and assess importer and exporter compliance with U.S. Customs regulations
· File protests, post-summary corrections
· Manage multiple ongoing projects and project deadlines
· Track project time daily
· Contribute to departmental improvements
· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1-2 years’ import and export compliance experience
• U.S. Customs Broker license preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong understanding of U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency regulations
• Working knowledge of EAR and OFAC regulations
• Proficient in Word and Excel. Access database skills preferred.
