Job Description
Major Job Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
- Use workflows on daily basis to manage shipments
- Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction (daily reporting used for each desk i.e., PEA report from OMB, booking report from OMB, Missing docs report, OM Monitor)
- Schedule and manage the daily drayage plan for all inbound containers to the customer’s distribution centers
- Ensure timely movement of containers to mitigate all accessorial costs
- Produce 2-week forecast and vessel-specific tenders to the marine terminals and drayage partners
- Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
- Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per the Customer SOP
- Conduct daily operations calls as needed with drayage partners, delivery locations, and the customer(s).
- Manage intercompany invoice payments
- Interact with our customers, arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
- Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (Shipping lines)—Monthly carrier scorecards held
- Meet KPI standards, per company procedure
- Oversees communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external) Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
- Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.

Qualifications
Knowledge
- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)
- Understanding of transportation process of all modules is a plus
Skills
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate via written and verbal communication and concisely obtain positive results.
- Pro-active and strong organizational skills
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English
