Job Description
Scope of Position:
Assist the Warehouse Lead and Supervisor in any way possible to make the work of the warehouse run smoothly and efficiently.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely & accurate unloading/loading of trucks.
- Accurate weighing and dimensioning of freight.
- Operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts (electric & gas)
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
- Accurate labeling of freight, zero cross-labels.
- Proper putting away, picking, & staging freight, all freight must be put away into a location & accounted for (PUT’s & LDD)
- Filling out documentation as trained.
- Be able to identify and match numbers and country codes
- Ability to interact with office to meet customer service standards.
- Contribute to maintain good relationships with customers, zero mis-ships, cross labels or damage to customer freight.
- Compliance to all ITAR, DG and other compliance rules and processes.
- Contributing to ensure a clean and safe warehouse environment, including Temperature Controlled Room.
- May check in drivers in the ProxyClick system and verify their information (if trained to do so).
- Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Personal Development:
- Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
- Attend training classes and completes mandatory training when required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Forklift Certification and be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
- Organized and has good time management skills
- Is resourceful to find the answer.
