Job Description

The Global Analytics and AI team is driving Experian’s efforts to productize analytics in each of the regions in which it operates. The team has had early success in building a modern, cloud-based AI workflow and automation platform, which will serve as Experian’s global platform for advanced analytics offerings. This platform – Ascend Intelligence Services (AIS) – has demonstrated significant promise with an initial set of products and clients. Going forward, the team faces a number of key questions as we scale: What are the next 10-15 products which have the potential to be $10MM in recurring revenue? What are the key features for these products that leverage Experian’s data assets and advanced analytics expertise in a productized, scalable way? How can we rapidly build products and scale to 100 clients? How can we create an ecosystem and AIS App store for analytics-powered products that drives cross-sell and upsell?

We are seeking a Director, Analytics Product Management who can help tackle the above challenges and increase customer impact by driving the strategy, vision, and roadmap for products in the AIS portfolio, defining and working with development teams to build key features, and working across teams and functions at Experian to successfully get the products to market and in the hands of clients

The Director, Analytics Product Management will play a critical role in building and scaling products on Ascend Intelligence Services (AIS). They will:

  • Drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for products in the AIS portfolio
    • Develop an understanding of product-market fit and key features to scale the product
    • Conduct ‘Phase 0’ analyses to assess product viability and feasibility
    • Define, gather feedback, and iterate on product concepts by writing Amazon-style PR FAQs and customer requirements on the product’s value proposition and how the product should work
    • Identify specific client needs and prioritize features for commercial impact and scale, managing critical trade-offs (e.g., timelines, development resource, client impact) along the way
    • Develop prototypes and mock-ups to demonstrate product features and requirements as needed
    • Get input from data science, engineering, and UX / UI teams to define technical requirements for product development
    • Work with agile development teams to ensure prioritized product features are delivered on time and on budget
    • Be comfortable both as an individual contributor and a leader of a team of 2-3 product managers, business analysts, and / or technical analysts
  • Help scale product delivery to clients through product feature socialization, feedback, and standardization
    • Build strong cross-functional relationships across teams engaged in delivering AIS to clients
    • Work with product, development, and client delivery teams to identify opportunities for efficiencies and standardization
    • Work with client delivery and sales teams to gather feedback on the product and incorporate critical insights into the product roadmap and feature prioritization decisions
  • Follow key industry trends and build Experian’s brand in data and analytics in credit, healthcare, and marketing
    • Participate in Experian and industry conferences to track the latest trends
    • Actively engage in client forums and share Experian and AIS insights with clients
