Job Description
1. Monitor RPA live solutions in accordance with GFA operational RPA guidelines, standards, and policies.
· Develop and maintain strategies (short and long term) for maintaining and upgrading Automation and Process Control Infrastructure.
· Work in an agile/iterative development environment’
· Follow design and coding standards, policies, procedures, and governance.
· Management of automation control room, monitoring device status (Bot runner & Creator), Bot schedules, maintenance of credential vault & historical activities (Bot deployment and Success).
· Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive quality, reliability, governance, performance and engage with System owners to establish/safeguard access/security.
· Validation of automation documentation (PDD/SDD) for each automated process created & maintain source repository.
· Monitoring & Management of incident ticket(s) raised through ServiceNow/SharePoint. Platforms.
· Coordinates with the requestor / end users to ensure appropriate change management and communications are planned and executed before and during the release/deployment.
· Communicate effectively to the Business/Process Owners the action plans and next steps to solve the coding/bot issue.
· Monitors proper operation of the robot during initial operation post release/deployment, promptly addressing any issues and fine-tuning as needed.
· Report issues and risks to Support Team Leader and Program Manager on a regular basis.
2. Proactively monitors and maintains operational Finance RPA solutions to ensure ongoing smooth operation and performance of the robot
· Monitors day-to-day operational metrics, system logs and control reports for errors.
· Investigates and resolves reported problems or errors, communicate effectively to the Business/Process Owners the action plans and next steps to solve the coding/bot issue.
· Identifies and addresses any data, process or systems errors, communicate effectively to the Business/Process Owners the action plans and next steps to solve the coding/bot issue.
· Keeps users and EITS, RPA, CoE informed of issues, actions and expected timeline to resolve
3. Performs periodic maintenance and updates as needed including where driven by changes to feeder/dependent systems and processes ensuring prompt and timely delivery of changes to avoid or minimise downtime.
4. Identifies opportunities to improve operational finance RPA solutions and initiates changes with the end users / business owners in line with the standard RPA development processes
5. Helps to train and support end users and others as needed to ensure that the robot operates correctly and efficiently
6. Provides regular status and progress updates for tracking and reporting
7. Maintains own level of knowledge and awareness of RPA trends, tools and best practices and applies in the development of new, and updates to existing, finance RPA solutions
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in developing or maintaining automated solutions.
- Experience in Automation Anywhere Automation Anywhere Certification or similar.
- Experience in Oracle EBS will be an advantage.
- Graduate with Engineering (computer) or related background.
- Strong understanding of data structures, relationship, mapping, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of / experience working in or with a Finance function.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and oral).
- Able to translate complex functional and technical concepts into easy-to-understand documentation and proposals (Ability to read and understand process and data flow diagrams).
- Strong experience in troubleshooting on a large scale to find errors that have not been made apparent, through automated testing using of programming tools to facilitate this troubleshooting process.
- Proficient in two or more programming languages and tools; knowledgeable in new and emerging technologies. (Python, Selenium, C )
- Some practical experience / knowledge of finance systems e.g., Salesforce.com CRM and Oracle EBS or similar ERP system (SAP, Peoplesoft) or other finance transactional and reporting system.
- Some practical experience / knowledge of one of following: SQL, Splunk, Tableau or Jira.
