Job Description
- Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing entry level engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.
Preferred degree is a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), however Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) will be considered.
Job Duties:
Create electrical distribution system models using data from various systems of record to reflect normal system configuration during peak loading conditions.
Maintain database of distribution system electrical models updating or modifying circuit models as necessary to reflect current or future configurations to meet the specific need.
Analyze reliability data noting trends in outages for use in the identification of system improvement projects.
Perform system-wide circuit analyses identifying planning criteria violations.
Perform contingency analysis and document outage recovery plans for large-scale outage scenarios.
Perform Arc Flash Hazard analysis on electrical distribution circuits and determine the appropriate mitigation.
Minimum Requirements: This is an entry level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*; Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.
